Thirsty Planet is a relatively new brewery in Austin, Texas. This month we’ve chosen their brewery to spotlight. Here are a few of their most popular brews and what you can expect when sipping on them.
Thirsty Goat is not for the faint of heart. It is an American-style amber ale with a distinct taste. If you prefer a stout amber this is the beer for you. Described as having a sweet, malty and rich deep flavor with a bit of spiciness at the end, this beer will definitely have you craving more if you like stout amber ales. It also goes great with a burger.
Buckethead is Thirsty Planet’s IPA. Considered an American-style India Pale Ale, Buckethead is offered year round and has a distinctively hoppy taste—as most IPA’s do. Light caramel sweetness with a direct gut punching after taste pretty much describes Buckethead.
Yellow Armadillo is the final year round beer that Thirsty Planet offers. This light American-style wheat beer goes down easy and also has a 4.0% ABV. Crisp, clear, and tasty with a clean finish and notable citrus flavors make this brew simply delicious. This is an excellent beer to enjoy during the hot Texas summers.
